Travel Vaccinations

Book a telephone consultation with one of our nurses.

When going to certain countries, you may need to provide proof of vaccination for travel. This can often be obtained on your NHS vaccination record that you can show on entry to a country. Some countries may also need an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) before you enter or when you leave.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with a local travel clinic as they will provide this comprehensive service. At Brooke Surgery we only offer the following vaccinations: Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio, Hepatitis A and Typhoid

If you are booking in at the Brooke Surgery for the mentioned vaccines is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible – at least 6 weeks before you travel – this is so you can build up immunity against the diseases before you arrive and as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all are NHS travel vaccinations and therefore cost.
