Repeat Prescriptions
Please allow us 48 hours (two working days), to process your prescription request.
We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
Ordering a Repeat Prescription
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
- Via the NHS app
- Please use our online services AskmyGP if your medication is not on repeat and available to order via the NHS app
- If you have problems accessing the NHS app and AskmyGP please contact Bureau by phoning 0161 537 0630 or contact them by email at ddicb.digitalhealthsupport@nhs.net
Collecting Your Prescription
When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.

You can collect your prescription from your nominated pharmacy 48 hours after you order it.

If you have a repeat prescription, we may contact yearly for a regular review.
Questions about your Prescription
If you have questions about your prescription, your local pharmacist can answer these. They can also answer questions about medicines you can buy without a prescription.
You can also use the NHS website for more information on your medicines, how and when to take them, possible side effects and answers to common questions.

What To Do With Old Medicines
Take old medicines to your nominated pharmacy or bring them to the surgery. Do not put them in your household bin or flush them down the toilet.
