Consultations are available at least two weeks in advance. You will normally be able to see a doctor, nurse or health care assistant within 48 hours.

We will always see medically urgent patients the same day.

Hayley Scott - Practice Paramedic - Mondays, Thursday and Fridays all day

We aim to offer more than 1000 Clinician  appointments weekly as well as Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments, but as you to understand this may not always be possible due to holidays/sickness. We will always see medically urgent patients the same day.

Practice Nurses and Nurse Practitioner

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse or nurse practitioner rather than a doctor. They are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Telephone consultation appointments are available online  by registering at or ask at reception for details. The telephone appointments are released each day at Midnight for the next day. These are for telephone consultations only and not to come into the surgery. Once your problem is discussed with the clinician you will be made aware of the time needed to come down to surgery if applicable.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Extended Hours access

If you require an appointment after 6pm and before 8pm Monday to Friday we can offer you pre bookable appointments at either Thornley Medical Centre, Glossop, and Ashton Primary Care Centre.
